Six new plots were created at Spring Hill when the boundary fence was extended earlier this year. They are now all let and the enthusiastic new plot holders worked wonders at a clean-up weekend in early May. Masses of glass, car parts, bricks, concrete - and crisp packets - were dug up and chucked on the skip. Nettles, brambles and ground elder were cleared and by Sunday night the skip was full. The new plots are almost clear - apart from some concrete foundations unearthed on one of them - and the first tomatoes have been planted. Congratulations to everyone for their fantastic hard work.
